SpecOptics fills existing eyeglass prescriptions and offers frame and lens fitting at our Tampa shop. Bring the current prescription supplied by your eye-care provider. We are an eyewear retailer: we do not perform eye exams, diagnose a vision problem or change the prescription.
What to prepare before ordering
Have your current prescription available and bring the glasses you already wear if you want to discuss their fit or style. Ask us what to bring when arranging your visit. Questions about a missing, expired or changed prescription belong with the provider who prescribes your lenses.
Discuss the frame and lens order together
Tell us your frame preferences and how you plan to use the glasses. Ask which lens designs and coatings can be supplied for your prescription, how they work with the selected frame and what the total quote includes. Contact us about the lens options available for your order.
If you hope to use frames you already own, contact us first. We’ll need to assess their condition and suitability before agreeing to use them. Ask separately about prescription sunglasses or contact lenses rather than assuming an option is available for your prescription.
Confirm the order details
Before placing an order, ask what frames and lenses the quote includes, the total cost, payment details and expected timing. Agree how fitting and collection will work, and how to get in touch with any order questions.
