What to bring to your eyewear visit

Glasses Fitting

SpecOptics offers frame and lens fitting. Bring your glasses and explain what you notice about their physical fit, such as slipping or an uneven position. Ask which adjustments are appropriate for the pair.

For a new order, discuss the frame and lens specification together and confirm the quoted cost and fitting arrangements. Bring your current prescription if prescription lenses are involved.

A fitting is not an eye exam or a prescription change. Questions about vision or a prescription should go to your eye-care provider. Visits are by appointment.

Glasses Repair

SpecOptics offers glasses repairs and adjustments. Contact us about the condition of your frames before arranging an appointment. Options depend on the pair and available parts; not every frame or lens can be repaired.

Ask which work is feasible, what the quote covers and the expected turnaround before agreeing to proceed. Existing scratches are not something a cleaning or frame adjustment can remove; ask about lens condition separately.

Keep your glasses and any detached pieces together. Call or text to discuss the next step, especially for frames purchased elsewhere. Visits are by appointment.

Frame and Lens Adjustments

SpecOptics offers frame and lens fitting and adjustments. Explain if your glasses slip, sit unevenly or feel uncomfortable at the bridge or sides.

The appropriate adjustment depends on the frame and lens arrangement. Ask the shop to assess the pair rather than forcing a bent part into position yourself.

An adjustment addresses physical fit; it does not change your prescription or replace an eye exam. Confirm feasibility, cost and timing for the actual pair.

Frame Assembling

If your frame is disassembled or has loose parts, keep the pieces together and contact the shop about a repair or fitting assessment.

Whether assembly or reassembly work is feasible depends on the frame, parts and lens condition. Ask which work can be accepted, what it costs and the expected turnaround.

SpecOptics offers repairs, adjustments and frame/lens fitting. Whether a disassembled pair can be restored depends on its condition and the parts needed.
